Johnson Amendment in Jeopardy

The Financial Services & General Government Appropriations Act of 2018 has a rider1 that will weaken the Johnson Amendment. The rider, Section 116, is buried in a larger piece of legislation and was approved in the House Financial Services Subcommittee yesterday

The Idaho Nonprofit Center released a policy statement in favor of keeping the Johnson Amendment in place, not weakened or repealed. Most of the nonprofit sector and the general public do NOT want to see a weakening or repeal of the Johnson Amendment.
