Message from the Executive Director

Amy Little

July brings a new look for the Idaho Nonprofit Center. Check out our new website and watch for new and exciting content, plus additional member benefits to be announced.

This month, CenterView is full of great information, including an article from business affiliate Karen Baerlocher of Peak View Solutions. If you are unsure about the new FLSA overtime regulations or if they apply to you, her article will help you answer that question and provide some great ideas on steps you can take TODAY to ensure you are compliant before the December 1, 2016 deadline.

We heard you loud and clear from our membership needs assessment that accessing your membership benefits has not always been easy. Not only can you find the member login portal in an easy place on our home page, but your membership benefits are easy to see when you log in.

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.

At Girls on the Run, the finish line is just the beginning. They help young girls learn what it means to be strong, confident and connected. Girls on the Run teaches girls life skills and prepares them to participate in a celebratory 5K event at the end of their season. Physical activity and discussions surrounding these life skills are embedded throughout the curriculum leading to a fun and interactive 10-week program. Girls can participate at various locations across the Treasure Valley in the spring or the fall. This month, Karen Baerlocher, from Peak View Performance Solutions, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, will offer answers to frequently asked Human Resources questions regarding the rule changes and offer information to assist your organization with this transition.
